Message why I bought and ASP pulley and paid more than $25.

go here [ http://www.aspracing.com/index-3.html ] and look at their factory tour. For starters, ASP actually has a website I gan go to and look at their product. Second, they are made in the U.S. Third, they have been in business since 1988. These factors give me some level of comfort that they know what they are doing, they have done some research and development and they have a reputation at stake.

Some concerns I would have buying the cheap ebay pulley is 1) Is this pulley really aircraft quality hard anodized aluminum or did the ebay seller just say that because it sounds cool 2) is the pulley balanced...you just put a chunk of metal on your engine that spins at times over 6500rpm, being balanced is important 3) Does this pulley underdrive the accessories too much or does it even underdrive...is it just lighter (which is useless). Underdriving the the accessories too much can be harmful, alternator not charging, ac compressor not circulating enough refrigerant, power steering pump not circulating enough fluid.

Finally, I'll say this. On your Youtube post about your pacesetter exhaust you're id is jazzmaned. Perhaps you are musician or just like jazz, but do you believe that a drum set sold at walmart sounds like the Pearl drums I play? There is a difference in price because there is a difference in sound quality as a result of the manufacturing process. Hell I can tell a difference in the sound quality of cheap Sabian cymbols and their pro-line. All in the manufacturing process.

If you trust your engine to that part then that's fine. Most of the others of us on here are a little snobby about that kind of stuff.

By the way, I had a pacesetter exhaust on my z for a while. Pipes totally rusted up within a year after their coating burnt off. Apexi exhaust i've had on there for 7 plus years doesn't have a bit of rust on it. Most times the saying is true "you get what you pay for"
